Just a few more

Happy Thursday everyone!
I hope you are having a fabulous week thus far. Only one more day till Friday!

I have another Cutting Cafe card to share today. I used the Heart Accordion set. This is a super fun set that has an accordion heart card, envelope template, and heart shaped sentiments.

I based my card off of Laura's sketch #44.

I just love the sketches on 2S4Y! You have to see Laura's amazing card with the gorgeous ribbon! The DT also created beautiful cards for you to oogle. :-)
Have a great day!

Supplies: cardstock: Recollections black ; pattern paper: Target dollar spot; ribbon: Martha Stewart; felt flower: craft supply; glitter: Stickles Frosted Lace

Walking away

Long time no post huh? I know...I have been extremely bad about blogging. I was in a serious funk. I had no mojo. Then I thought I had some great ideas and I cut into a few new papers and POOF!!!! it was gone. So I walked away to do some serious thinking. I thought of abandoning this hobby of mine. I considered packing all my supplies up and donating them to a local shelter. I have read about others having this frame of mind and actually following through with the idea. I however, managed to regain some confidence and sat back down at the table to create.

What's amazing me to is I found myself with a simpler style. Not completely overdoing it to the nil degree. Not sure it will last. Not sure I really like the new style but it's a change and I am embracing it for now.

Enough of my ranting. On to a few cards I made.

First up is a card using beautiful turquoise Chatterbox papers. My friend, Pam sent these to and I knew what I was eager to use these. I used Card Pattern's #48 sketch.

Supplies: pattern paper: Chatterbox; stamp: unknown; pearls: Kaiser Craft; ink: Brilliance black; ribbon: Creatively-Green; glitter: Stickles frosted lace

This next card started out strictly for fun! But then I saw The Pink Elephant's #51 challenge to use, polka dots, bow and pink. Regina created the cutest little set entitled, "Rain Rain Go Away" for The Cutting Cafe and I fell in love with this boot image. Way too cute!
I just realized I need to get a close up image of the boots because I filled in the flowers with Stickles and it does not show the true sparkle in the photo. :-( Sorry. I will try and get to that ASAP!

Supplies: cardstock: Recollections white and black, digital image and sentiment: The Cutting Cafe'; print paper: Target dollar spot; polka dot ribbon and felt button: craft supply; glitter: Stickles red and green

Thanks for coming by!

Are you one of the lucky winners? I did it the old fashion way, by putting names on a slip of paper and drawing from a basket. Sometimes it's just fun to do things the "old fashion way". :-)

Love is all around

I am sliding in at the last hour with these cards featuring, Love Me Do by MME. The week slipped by really fast and I found it was Friday before I could blink. No complaining here though. I love my weekends!
First up is my card for CardPatterns sketch #46. The new DT started this week and let me just say, they are incredible!!! You really must see their cards for this week's sketch. A huge congrats to each of them! Okay here's my card:

The second card is for 2S4Y this week which is sponsored by The Cutting Cafe this week. Check out my blog post here for a chance to win one of the 2 sets being given away!

Okay-it's late for me and I need to get some things done before bed. Good night all! I'll be back tomorrow. :-)

It's time for a Cutting Cafe' give-away!

Hello friends! I hope everyone is feeling well and hopefully the weather is starting to warm up for those in freezing climates. I am not a 100% so I am pumping the liquids and resting up.

On to my project. I have a special pillow box for a secret pal using The Cutting Cafe' Assorted Pillow Box set and Because Valentine's Day isn't just for Lovers file.

The pillow box is super easy to make! Directions are given how to print this file from your own computer onto cardstock. You just click, print, cut, fold, and glue. It makes the sweetest treat for that secret pal, friend, or family member.

Supplies: pattern paper: Adornit; vellum Stampin' Up; ribbon: Wright's; felt button: Maya Road; floss; DMC; jewels: Darice

Best of all, Regina has given me the green light to giveaway these files to two random winners! I will draw a name for the Assorted Pillow Box set and the Because Valentine's Day isn't just for Lovers file on Saturday. All you have to do is leave a comment to be eligible to win. It's as easy as that!

A heartfelt thank you

Just a touch of snow to sprinkle the ground Thursday evening. Enough to give us a two hour delay for the day which was not received well by my DD. She was convinced the roads were entirely too dangerous for the buses and school should therefore be closed. Grumpiness ensued. :-(
I was kind of happy we had a solid week of school for the kids sake. I like getting back into the routine of things.
I wanted to share a card I made last night. I am using the My Mind's Eye Love Me Do papers again. I think there will be lots more created with this line.

I used stitching which is JUGS new challenge for this week issued by Mona. You have got to see her creations! Amazing!

A belated Happy New Year!

I know I am a few days late but... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I hope everyone had a joyous holiday season and enjoyed spending time with those they love and celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.
I'm so delighted to be back in Virginia and warm inside my home. The wind has been brutal! I am concerned about those that are homeless or unable to afford heating during these super frigid days. I try to give a little extra money to my gas company each month whom distrubutes the funds to those that need the financial assistance. I know it's not a lot but a few dollars may be all someone needs.
After a week off, I was eager to create something. I was actually walking around Vegas composing ideas in my head. Pretty sad huh? I am not a gambler so the visual stimulation of themed hotels was enough for me. I think we visited all the larger hotels which was fun because the motifs varied. Lots of color inspiration!
I made this card using The Pink Elephant's #47 sketch and the latest Embellish Magazine color challenge to use red, pink, and black with heart embellishments which is being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.

Supplies: cardstock: Creatively-Green; pattern paper: Fancy Pants Splendid; chipboard heart: American Crafts; rub-on's: Making Memories; rhinestones: Darice; rick rack: Wright's; button, heart brad, and pink ribbon from craft supply, floss: DMC; ink: Brilliance

Thanks so much for stopping by!
